We aim to reply within two working days. If a survey is blocked on site, put “on site” in the subject line and it goes to the top.

Reporting a problem
Four lines is usually enough to fix something. Please include:
- The app version, if you have it — otherwise, roughly when you last updated.
- Your phone and OS version — for example, iPhone 14, iOS 18.
- The meter involved, if any, and how it was connected: Bluetooth, an imported file, or typed in.
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
Do not attach survey files, exports or photographs unless we have asked for them and you have your client's agreement. Survey records carry site names, addresses, drawing numbers and area references, and that is your client's commercial information, not ours. Describe the problem instead — we can almost always work from the description, and if we genuinely need a file we will say so and tell you what to strip first.
Things people ask first
My meter will not connect over Bluetooth
Check that the meter is switched on and not already paired to something else, that Bluetooth is enabled on the phone, and that you granted Luxwork the Bluetooth permission when it asked. On Android, Bluetooth scanning can also be refused through the system location setting, which the operating system ties to scanning. If it still will not link, you can record the survey by typing the readings in, and the report is no different for it.
Can I use a meter you do not list?
Yes. Any calibrated meter can be used by entering its readings manually. The report states which instrument each reading came from either way.
How do I get a survey off the phone?
Use Export — on a single survey from its row in the held surveys list, or everything at once from the export and backup screen. The export screen also tells you plainly which surveys have never been exported.
Is my work backed up?
Luxwork cannot tell you that, and will not claim it. Your phone's own backup (iCloud on iPhone, Android's app backup) covers the app's files if it is switched on — but Android's app backup is capped at around 25 MB per app, so a few surveys with photographs will exceed it and the rest is dropped silently. Exporting is the reliable route on either platform.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-in, and there is nothing to lose the password to. See the privacy notice for what that means for your data.
Deleting your data
Delete a survey in the app, or remove the app to delete everything it holds. Because surveys are stored on the device and never sent to us, there is no copy on our side to ask us to erase — but if you believe we hold anything about you, write to neil@ubervisor.app and we will tell you what we have.
